Most people today don’t know why they are here, or where they are going.
God in His great love for us has not left us in the dark in these matters. He has given us a book, the Bible, to answer these questions and guide us through life.
This book reads much better than fiction. It tells us of a place called Heaven beyond our universe, of the great war there. It contains stories for our example, of courage, successes, failures, bad guys as well as good guys.
Moses wrote the first five books about 3,500 years ago. The last book was written by John the Revelator about 1,600 years after that.
It contains 66 books, 1,189 chapters, 31,173 verses, 773,742 words, and 3,566,480 letters. It also contains about 4,000 promises made by God to encourage us.
This book is ageless and is as relevant to our times as it has been from the time of its first writing until now.

God not only gives us the Bible as a guide for this life, He also supplies a teacher to lead us through the Bible and to help us to understand it.
Who is this Teacher? The Holy Spirit.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit – the Father will send Him in My name – will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.
Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth. It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counselor will not come to you. If I go, I will send Him to you.
When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment:
When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.
He will glorify Me, because He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you.
Everything the Father has is Mine. This is why I told you that He takes from what is Mine and will declare it to you.
When we open God’s Word we open our minds and hearts to the influence of the Holy Spirit.
