There are three messages of critical importance that the people of the world should know about. These messages are warnings from God that we are being deceived by Satan. God is inviting us to return to “the truth”, Bible truth, His truth, and to reject the substitute truth that men have developed over the centuries.
These messages are delivered to us symbolically by three angels in the book of Revelation. Each angel has a message that if accepted and put into practice will bring us into harmony with God. Once we accept these truths, we are in turn to warn others of these deceptions of Satan.
The first Angel’s message:
Revelation 14:6 & 7
Then I saw another angel flying high overhead, having the eternal gospel to announce to the inhabitants of the earth – to every nation, tribe, language, and people.
He spoke with a loud voice: “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
God wants us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus, The Everlasting Gospel, to the world. It is set out plainly in Scripture. Over the centuries man has perverted the pure Gospel. The Gospel of a crucified and risen Christ, who died in our place. A Christ who’s beautiful sacrifice has made us right with God. We must tell people about it so they can accept the gift, and live forever.
To give glory to God is to reveal His character in our own, in all that we say and do. Then we will reveal Him to the world.
In Noah’s day, God warned people about the coming judgment upon those that had trampled upon His law, but people did not listen. The result of their disobedience was the great flood (Genesis Chapter 6 & Genesis Chapter 7). Today we are in exactly the same position:
Luke 17:26-30
Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man:
People went on eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah boarded the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot: People went on eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building.
But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all.
It will be like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
We are living in the last days of this earth’s history. We are on the brink of eternity. Jesus will return soon, are you ready? He will return while we are caught up in running the kids around, worrying about our job, our clothes, our car, or just plain trying to keep up with everyone else. Don’t be fooled; Jesus warns us about getting caught up in the cares of this world,
Matthew 6:31-34
So don’t worry, saying, “What will we eat?” or”What will we drink?” or “What will we wear”
For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.
Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Exodus 20:1-8
Then God spoke all these words:
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.
Do not have other gods besides Me.
Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.
You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ sin, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands.
Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses His name.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy:
This first message is also calling people back to Sacred Sabbath worship and to keep all the commandments of God. The fourth Commandment begins with, “Remember the Sabbath day” By forgetting the Seventh Day Sabbath, we are forgetting God the Creator.
This is what Satan wants. To erase God from our memories. In the world today there are a great many people who want 10% discount off their religion. They are willing to keep nine of God’s commandments, but not the fourth. Yet the Seventh Day Sabbath is not an option. It is the only day God set aside. He blessed it and made it holy.
So therefore we are not free to pick and choose what day we want to make holy.
Matthew 19:16 & 17
Just then someone came up and asked Him, “Teacher, what good must I do to have eternal life”
“Why do you ask Me about what is good?” He said to him. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
